There is more to this than she is saying. Of course, in true GOP fashion, she is blaming all the ethics violation charges and the cost to the state for fighting them as her reason. I have a feeling that dog won't hunt. I have found in my time that where there is smoke there is fire. She did abuse her power and wasn't very good at. What I think happened was the people of Alaska turned on her after she made them look like a state of idiots on the national stage. When she got back they started to realize that she was completely incapable of running a self-propelled mower let alone a state, and they started to put pressure on her to show them she could do it. Surprise! Surprise! She couldn't. For that reason, she quit.
I find it interesting that she said in an interview,"Every time we do something, we take a hit." Sarah - Every time you do something it is beyond stupid. That is why you take a hit. That is the life you accepted when you entered politics and, especially, last August when you signed on as John McCain's running mate. For better or worse, your every move is now up for public debate. This seems to be just another thing on a long list of things you just don't get.
